Nonetheless, the GBP is showing an unexpected relative power and today the exchange rate with EUR is rising day after day. Only one year after Brexit, the UK government is trying to tackle the loss of so much labour demand, whereas labour supply will need to face the potential decrease in skilled work force caused by Brexit.
The UK Furlough Scheme is somehow putting a patch on this tough economic situation and it has now been extended until September 2021.
